Research has found that an estimated 162,719 pints of Guinness each year are caught in moustaches, costing drinkers £423,070.
A Guinness spokeswoman said: "Everyone knows that you get a frothy upper lip when drinking a pint of Guinness. This is the first research to measure what that froth costs." - Newcastle Journal (David Browning)
