This England

People associate hats with our country. There is nothing more English than a hat and they're always synonymous with English summer weddings. When the premier English family, in the eyes of the world, bans hats it just isn't cool. - Woman's Journal (Rachel Mason Simpson)

Tony Blair came under fire from 200 assorted protesters when he arrived in Oxford.
They demonstrated outside the Sheldonian Theatre against issues including student tuition fees, genetically modified food, the WTO and Nato.
GM food protesters dressed as cows, while other students, wearing only underwear, claimed that because of tuition fees they could no longer afford trousers.
The president of Oxford University student union, Anneliese Dodds, said: "They don't want us to ask Tony Blair about his education polices and embarrass him." - Oxford Mail (John Courouble)
