Herman Tribelnig, from Camden, London, has suffered four years of pain since a paving-stone gave way under him as he was walking to the shops. He asked the council to pay damages. Last week, Camden council delivered its verdict, dismissing his claim on the grounds that he was "walking too fast and carrying the wrong type of shopping bags". The council went on to say that he had "failed to place his feet carefully" and "failed to take an alternative route". - Guardian (Sigrid Rabiger)
