The traditional Oxford examination is the crucible in which we were torched and burnt. It is in this crucible that we were formed. This is where the hallmark was stamped on the ingot and the ashes blown away.

Finals is exactly that - the last race for the Olympians. It is not a ploughing match for draught horses - we have enough of those in the diploma factories around the world.
