Chris Powell is absolutely right to argue that Britain must promote itself more vigorously through its innovative products and services. He is wrong, however, to suggest that this is not being done (Interview, 20 November). It is: through the Millennium Products initiative, which aims to encourage and promote innovative new UK products and services for the new millennium. Millennium Products is run by the Design Council and not the Department of Culture, as your article states.
